Argelès-sur-Mer coastline stretches for nearly 10 kilometres: 7km of sandy coast from the National Nature Reserve of Mas Larrieu to Le Racou, and 2km of rocky coast from Le Racou to the beach of l’Ouille.
The coastal path allows to emphasize this nature and historic heritage. 12 signboards in French, Catalan, English and German are to be found along it.It traverses the Public Maritime Domain, and then the rocky coves of Porteils - steps cut into the rock make the exploration easier - before reaching the beach of l’Ouille. The beach is accessible by stairs installed on the cliff. Beyond Argelès, the coastal path continues via Collioure and Port-Vendres.
