  • The church of Notre-Dame-dels-Prats is flanked by a superb Romanesque bell tower, 34 metres high, which is a listed building. Although its construction was not completed, it is one of the highest bell towers in Roussillon.
    This is what allowed it to be successively a signal and watchtower, a communal belfry, a keep and a bell tower. It has three floors: three beautiful rib-vaulted rooms and the part reserved for the bells.

    At the foot of the keep, the square of Saint Côme and Saint Damien, patrons of Argelès, covers the old cemetery, which still occupied the space between the rampart and the outer wall of the nave in the early 19th century.
