Coastal Path“The Albères massif meets the Mediterranean”

You will be accompanied by your guide and you will discover the Côte Vermeille. The trail passes through rocky coves and schistose sea cliffs that have been delineated the Pyrenean foothills. You will enjoy the persistent scent of the ‘maquis’ and the extraordinary views of the land plunging into the Mediterranean sea.

Period: July and August.
Start point: Tourist Office, Argelès-Plage,
Wednesdays at 9am.

Coastal Nature Reserve of Mas Larrieu“A genuine, living nature”

Your guide will accompany you in this wild site along the Roussillon coastline revealing a number of sceneries: dunes, meadows, wetlands, close proximity of the Tech river – a Mediterranean coastal river. You will enjoy the numerous, rich plants of this sensitive area which is synonymous with escape.

Period: April to September.
Start point: Tourist Office, Argelès-Plage, Thursdays 9am.
Duration: 1h30 / Distance: 2.6km.

Audio Guided Walking Tour from Valmy to the Chapel of St-Laurent-du-Mont“Listen & See…, Stories of L’Albera”

Listen with background music to elders’ confidences and writers’ words in the heart of the Albera Massif. The waymarked walking tour includes 11 stopovers. This unique
outdoor activity initiative is available in 5 languages (French, Catalan, Spanish, English and German).

Period: all year.

Start point: Valmy car-park.

Distance: 5km (3h round trip)
Yellow waymark sign: Chapelle St-Laurent (Sant Lorenç) PR ARG4.
Height gain of 213m.

“Overlooking Argelès-sur-Mer”

It provides the most beautiful views of the town and sceneries of the department of the Pyrenees-Orientales bordered by the Mediterranean. This 5ha romantic, verdant environment offers the perfect setting of the shady forest to have a picnic or relax (kids’ small play area available). Explore a circuit with unusual notice boards help discover
both the natural heritage and history of the people of this region.

Situation: Exit 12 of D 914 (park your vehicle at car-park).

• The Park is closed during the “Déferlantes” Festival (July)
