The quality of bathing waters, as directed by the European Union, is considerably improving for 10 years. As it had been one of the first littoral towns to be equipped with an efficient sewage treatment plant, ARGELES was already acting as a pilot resort in this matter.
From 15 June to 15 September, DDASS (district health authority) regularly inspects the quality of bathing waters. And this year, as it was also the case last year, the results of analyses can be regularly read since they are displayed in first aid posts, Municipal Tourist Offices (beach and village), police station and municipal police station, town hall and on electronic bulletin boards.
Over the past few years, the results have proved it: you can bathe safely. ARGELES is awarded theBLUE FLAG FOR CLEAN BEACHES every year.
