The VELO CLUB DES ALBERES is a cycle touring club (affiliated to the FFCT), founded in 1981 and with 250 members in 2024.
We welcome cycle tourists free of charge (except for the Mar i Munts tour).
10 outings are organised each week, departing from Argelès, Laroque-des-Albères and St Genis des Fontaines: Road group: 3 groups according to level,Mountain bike group: 2 groups depending on level,Leisure group: 22/25 km/h, outings of 60/70 km (3 h cycling)Hiking group: 2 outings per month in the department.
Our groups are mixed, and electric bikes are welcome.We also organise hikes, with 2 outings per month.
From 15 May to 15 September: we welcome non-licensed summer riders (insurance taken out by the club).Annual Mar i Munts hikes on 14 July and 15 August.Don't hesitate to join our groups with your bike!
Helmets MUST be worn - Respect the Highway Code under ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.
