Car parks

Argelès Beach

From 15 June to 15 September, 5 car parks on the Argelès-sur-Mer seafront are chargeable (Casino, Grau, Sardane au Racou, Platanes and Port car parks). The 15 other car parks on the beach are free to use (see map below).

These car parks are subject to payment* by means of ticket machines, with different times and rates.

Three car parks are chargeable from 9am to 8pm, the other two from 9am to midnight. The rates are hourly (i.e. the first hour is free), but it is possible to take out a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly pass (see rates below) from the parking meter. If there is a risk of overrunning the time limit, you can top up your paid parking remotely using your smartphone.

*Parking on the public highway is free of charge for disabled people holding the CMI-S or CES-CSPH card.

Argelès Village

Three blue zones in the city centre are operated with a parking disc.
The three zones concerned are the Marasquer car park (50% of the spaces in the blue zone), the central ring of the Espace Liberté (50% of the spaces in the blue zone), and the Route Nationale. The parking disc is free, and is available at the Town Hall (shopkeepers in the town centre also distribute them). Users can park in the blue zones with the disc for 1h30, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday morning.

The commune has parking zones with different uses:
– white zones: parking spaces are free for 7 days.
– Blue zones: parking spaces are free for 1.5 hours with a parking disc. These zones encourage journeys and stops in the town centre, and the circulation of vehicles with compulsory rotation.
– minute stops on the main road: spaces are free for 20 minutes. These parking spaces near the shops are useful for occasional stops.
